Ok so i’m still not in the new studio, but i have started throwing at home and i recently had a lovely firing with some new glaze combinations that i’m really pleased with, also my recent foray into silk papermaking has inspired me , you know when you suddenly figure out what you’ve been puzzling over for months…so i’m starting on some new work.. well it’s an extrapolation of old forms..but i’m excited !
And I really need to devote a lot of time to sewing right now, so i try and see the benefits of not moving studio at this time, and it’s lovely being immersed in a different material for a change. i’m also looking forward to having some playtime with Jeanette , resident artist with the Fife Arts Co-op in Newburgh. It’s been great being around her studio and the workshops and learning more about felting and stuff (links to both these websites in my about page) .but i’ll update this as things continue to unfold..
the first showcase for the residency will open to the public on 5th July at 65a The High Street Newburgh so come along and see what jeanette and the kids have been doing.
